Good morning Twiterville and welcome to the second edition of our weekly Monday thread #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales #DigitalFraud. In this week’s #ScamTales we share a real life experience of a lady we’ve chosen to keep anonymous. For editorial purposes, this story has been edited. Enjoy while learning and please do well to Retweet ? #NoGoFallMaga— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019

“I got a call from this number – 0813820XXXX claiming to be Mr. Bayo from #AccessBank. He said they’re running an update due to the Access and Diamond Banks merger.” #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales pic.twitter.com/yQzPMFvLua— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019

“This Mr. Bayo said my full name, phone number, date of birth and #BVN. I was surprised as to how he obtained this information about me.” #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales pic.twitter.com/k8sYlC9tMg— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019

“After confirming my information, he said he needs to confirm my card details on their system. So he asked for the valid date on my card…And I’m like ‘Hol-up bros, that’s personal’. He got upset and said ‘Are you serious?’ #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales pic.twitter.com/CWFekSMN6r— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019

Then he went ahead to threaten me with account closure, “We’ll block your account”, he said. I laughed and responded, “Oga no be quarrel na! You called all the other details from your system so call the card details too then.” #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales pic.twitter.com/VoBddWsHB1— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019

”I’ll confirm if what you have is correct”, I said. Then an argument ensued between the both of us and I’m very glad it was his call credit we were spending ? #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales pic.twitter.com/kkcyu8Z7j3— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019

The next thing I heard was, “Fred, block that account” and I replied “Please go ahead”. #NoGoFallMaga #ScamTales pic.twitter.com/IMPtMbS1kz— nogofallmaga (@nogofallmaga) August 5, 2019
