Flowextra (flowextra.com) claims to be an “online Business Platform, giving all individuals a Marvelous opportunity to Earn from the comfort of your home with just your smartphone or Laptop.” Flowextra also claims “unlimited income” can be generated from their website. These are indeed marvelous claims and worthy of an investigation. Hence, we sought to verify if it is indeed legit or a scam.
How do we earn from home with just a smartphone or Laptop? Flowextra states on their website that there are two ways to earn on their platform, as a non-referral earner or an affiliate earner.
BELOW IS THE BREAKDOWN OF HOW TO EARN ON THIS PLATFORM
NON REFERRAL EARNER
- As a Non-Referral Earner, you earn Flowextra Activity Earnings (FAE) Points by clicking on articles, commenting on articles, and sharing our daily sponsored posts on your Facebook timeline.
- These Points can fetch you nothing less than ₦10,000 on a daily basis, playing Quiz on this Platform and answering 5 questions correctly.
- Also, these points can fetch you Cash, From as low as ₦4,000 on a daily basis, and other valuable gadgets by playing the spin-and-win wheel.
AFFILIATE EARNER
- You can also earn As an Affiliate Earner, by referring your friends and family to register on this platform, you get ₦1,500 per person referred to register on this platform.
- Once you successfully become a registered member on our website, you could be making nothing less than ₦100,000 every week as an affiliate, with the help of any of our Merchants.
Whichever of the two you decide on, Flowextra makes it clear that before you can use their platform you must pay a registration fee of =N= 3,000.
Analysis: Are the numbers feasible?
Let’s assume Flowextra has one hundred active members on their platform. You might want to ask, why assume one hundred active members? Looking at the homepage of Flowextra, there are links to its Facebook and Telegram groups. The Facebook group has over 27,000 members.
While its Telegram group has over sixteen thousand members
Looking at these numbers you would agree that one hundred is a very conservative estimate. Moving on, the least a person can earn daily, from what we have read above is =N= 10,000. Multiplying 10000 X 100 we have 1,000,000. So, with one hundred active members, Flowextra will be paying out one million naira daily. That means in a month, the platform would have paid out thirty million naira. Note that this is just payouts, for the platform not to be running at a loss, the monthly income generated would need to be above thirty million naira. The pertinent question to ask is what exactly is Flowextra’s business model and how is it able to generate a monthly income of more than thirty million naira?
Considering what’s on their website, the means of income are registration fees and sponsored posts. Let us consider the sponsored posts. What are sponsored posts? No clear definition of this is given on their website. But a perusal of their telegram channel reveals an example of a sponsored post.
This post refers to the website reviewcable.com, on visiting the website we found that it is a news blog featuring various categories of news. The question is what makes items from this website a “sponsored” post? These are just posts about trending news, so who is doing the sponsorship? Ideally, in a news and lifestyle blog, you would see ads from sponsors or people paying to have posts about their goods and services, we did not find this on Review Cable. Hence, we posit that there is no income from this.
The only other available means that Flowextra can generate income is through registration fees. Flowextra brands this as “Affiliate Earner” but this is misleading because in affiliate marketing the affiliate is paid a commission when the individual referred uses the product and not simply for registering on a platform. Payment for registration is synonymous with Pyramid schemes.
From the foregoing, it is most likely that Flowextra is running a pyramid scheme masked as a legitimate business endeavor. Another line of evidence that points to this conclusion is their reviews on Trust Pilot.
These reviews bolster our analysis and clearly show that Flowextra is most likely a Pyramid Scheme. Hence, from all discussed thus far we advise that you stay away from this platform and seek online business opportunities elsewhere.
