Our intelligence team caught wind of a new investment platform making the rounds called OmegaPro. They have been actively holding seminars in various parts of the country and claim to have a host of trading instruments (such as forex and cryptocurrency) in which investors can trade and make a profit.

Also, they have a referral program where you can earn by referring people to the platform.

This sort of referral system is often used by Ponzi schemes. This is the first red flag we noticed, and without a financial report, it is hard to figure out if they make money from trading or from getting more people to join the platform.

At the bottom of their website, OmegaPro states its address is “Griffith Corporate Centre Kingstown St. Vincent And the Grenadines”

Doing a search for “OmegaPro Ltd” on opencorporates returned three companies, with none of the companies bearing the address listed on its website. Two of the companies were based in the UK and one in Belize, a country categorized by the US State Department as a Country/Jurisdiction of Primary Concern in respect of Money Laundering and Financial Crimes.

Looking at the source code for the website we found the same address and company name of OMEGAPRO SERVICES LTD in our company search on open corporates.

This address is not displayed on the website because it was hidden using an HTML coding technique.

A google search for the address “71-75, Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom” revealed that it is the current location of 1st formations which is a company that provides registration services for new limited companies online for clients from the UK and overseas. They also provide address services as stated on their website:

“1st Formations also provides a range of address services, including Registered Office and Service Addresses to keep your personal details off the public record. Furthermore, our Business Address Service allows you to use our prestigious address in Covent Garden, London for all of your business mail. This can help your company by establishing a presence in a prime business location, protecting your home address and developing an excellent corporate image.”

Pulling up the filling details of OmegaPro Services Ltd on opencorporates revealed that the SIC code of the business is 96.09

which means the company is licensed to carry out the following activities:

astrological and spiritualists’ activities
– social activities such as escort services, dating services, services of marriage bureaux
– pet care services such as boarding, grooming, sitting and training pets
– genealogical organisations
– activities of tattooing and piercing studios
– shoe shiners, porters, valet car parkers etc.
– concession operation of coin-operated personal service machines (photo booths, weighing machines, machines for checking blood pressure, coin-operated lockers etc.)

Notice that there is nothing among the above-listed activities which includes running a crypto, forex, or commodity investment platform. So, we have a company that is registered by a formation agent with no physical office and operating an illegal investment scheme, this should be enough to set the alarm bells ringing.

Also, several foreign financial regulators have flagged OmegaPro. The Spanish regulator CNMV published a warning about Omegapro, saying it is not authorized to provide investment services. The French financial regulator AMF has blacklisted it and the Belgian financial regulator FSMA has strongly advised its citizens against responding to any offers of financial services from OmegaPro.

Moving on, we noticed that on the OmegaPro website there is a link to an e-money firm called OMP Money Ltd which it claims to be in partnership with. The firm is registered in the UK and can distribute or redeem electronic money (e-money) and provide certain payment services on behalf of an e-money institution.

OMP Money Ltd operating address is listed as “No.1 Royal Exchange London EC3V 3DG UNITED KINGDOM.” Looking up this address on google we found that 466 other companies are listed as using the same address, which means this is a virtual office.

Digging into the company’s records, we found that OMP Money Limited has three people with significant control: Mr. Michael Shannon Sims, Mr Andreas Attila Szakacs, and Mr Dilawarjit Singh.

Of the three people listed, Mr. Dilawarjit Singh has an interesting past. He is linked to a failed crypto mining multi-level marketing scheme called Omnia Tech.

The website scamgrinder says he has been working for years with Robert Velghe who has FinTelegram News described as a serial rip-off.

Singh & Velghe

Putting it all together, OmegaPro Ltd is not licensed to carry out the activities it is currently handling, tries to hide that it is operating from a virtual office, several regulatory financial institutions have issued a warning about it, and it is linked to people who have been involved in failed crypto multi-level marketing schemes. We recommend that you do not get involved with this company or any of its affiliates.

  1. I was never going to invest, an never a fan of this online investment I just wanted to make research to satisfy my curiosity, it always good to make your research before plunging into anything.

  2. All i had to see was the NGFM logo when researching this and i knew it was going to be a worthy read. Thank you for this detailed analysis.

  3. I find it surprising that this piece was posted on 4 December 2020 and the first comment was 14 Feb 2021 which is almost 2 months. Next I see only 6 comments 5 of which were posted btw october to november 2021. So i am trying to understand, if the NGFM is a known and readily viewed page, how come it took almost 2 months for the piece to be read and a comment dropped, moreso how come only 6 comments, all the comments agreeing to what was posted and all except one falling btw october and november. this all sounds too sketchy.

    1. Thank you, James, for your comment. First, we moderate our comment section, hence comments that do not directly address the crux of the post, use foul or abusive language, or are recommending offers we think are fraudulent do not elicit a response from us. We are always open to scrutiny and critical engagements with our investigations. For instance, you raise no objections to what we posted and do not interact with our findings, but are more concerned about the comment section, the question is how does that affect the findings presented above?

As to your questions, when this investigation was posted, omegapro was not so popular, but recently, we have noticed a slew of traffic from google searches concerning omegapro, that might explain the time lag in comments. Another equally viable explanation is that not everyone comments on what they read; this investigation had been viewed multiple times before the first comment.

Finally, we ask that you engage critically with what you read, ask questions that directly engage what was written, you are assured of our response.

      1. This site may not be popular to many but they are doing a great job. I came here because I was invited by an unknown person to join Omegapro on telegram.
When I saw the crowd, the activities and the huge promised return on their investment package, I became cautioned.
Thank you for your good job, I hope Nigerians we read and be wise.

    1. They have real activities going on almost everyday and I haven’t seen any one complain of being scammed by them for over 3 years now.

      1. “Bernard Lawrence “Bernie” Madoff was an American financier who executed the largest Ponzi scheme in history, defrauding thousands of investors out of tens of billions of dollars over the course of at least 17 years, and possibly longer.”
        https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bernard-madoff.asp

Since Bernie Madoff was able to maintain a Ponzi Scheme that lasted for at least 17 years, saying that Omega Pro has been in existence for over 3 years without complaints proves nothing and does not in any way count to its legitimacy. Remember, those who refuse to learn from History are doomed to repeat it.

  4. Thanks for this information..I have always been skeptical about online investment, and to think some friends have been on my neck to invest with Omegapro. I appreciate this, thank you.

    1. One very properous and attractive trick they do is to sponsor their referrors who bring in many referrees or victims, to a tourist trip to Dubai. these foot soldiers then use pictures taken during these trips to woo and bring in more victims into the swindle scheme.

  5. Omega pro is an Omega scam. Which type of investment and which economy would they invest these monies and get 1000% to be able to give investors (victims) 300%?

One needs only an ants brain to know it’s a calculated swindle scheme

  6. Lol, blogging pays really.
Don’t just pick on a few points and land a conclusion to attract pay from views.
Gather all facts and information about OmegaPro before blogging.

    1. We are a non-profit, we do not make money from the work we do. Also, did you see any adverts on this website? So how are we getting paid from views?

      1. I have a few questions pls.
        1) Don’t you think 300% over 16months is possible with forex?
        2) you said something about the address of the company and the virtual bank being fake does it mean the virtual bank is fake
        3) if they really running a ponzi scheme they should be in loss by now because people have cashed out huge and put back peanuts
a good amount of red flags and I must commend your efforts

        1. Thank you, Diddy, for your questions, here are my responses below:

          1) I do not think so.
          2) The report says both Omega Pro and OMP money used a virtual address. It is legitimate to use a virtual address but what it tells you is that the company does not have a physical presence at that location, also this is sometimes used by fraudsters to make their schemes look legitimate. Finally, OMP was not a virtual bank, it was an E-money agent and has been deregistered. https://register.fca.org.uk/s/firm?id=0014G00002WwfY8QAJ
          3) A Ponzi scheme can last for years, if there are new people joining in the scheme stays afloat, read about the Ponzi perpetuated by Madoff. It lasted over ten years. Also, note that Omega pro has stretched into several countries, this ensures new people keep putting money into the scheme. But since the entire world cannot join, one day it is going to come crashing down.

        2. The question one should ask ” is how do they utilize the money to give such returns on investment?”
If this is not obvious, then it’s a Ponzi scheme.

    2. With your shallow brain did you see any advert here? How is he making money? Someone posted a very vital information to help people from getting scammed and this is all you have to say?.

  7. Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag. One thing I know is that because things are getting tougher and tougher economically and people are running from pillar to post to see if they can make ends meet, we sometimes don’t cross check the mouth watering offers presented to us before investing or joining. To me you have done your bit by letting people know of your findings, the choice is ours (the public) to make. Thank you once more for if eventually they fail those who have read your findings and still went on to invest would blame themselves.

  8. Thanks NGFM, for your giving us your findings free of charge. I am pleased to have access to your website and findings.

Did you manage to find any Financial Report for Omega Pro ?

Even if its just a piece of documents to show something to show their yearly profits and loss account ?

  9. I WAS INVITED BY A FRIEND TO ATTEND A LUNCH IN ABUJA, NIGERIA AND THE KIND OF CROWD I SAW MADE ME WONDER IF MMM, MBA FINANCE, CRYPTO AND OTHER PONZIS HAVE NOT TAUGHT NIGERIANS A LESSON, NOTHING WILL . I GOOGLED ON IT AND CAME ACROSS THIS SITE AND DECIDE TO DIG DEEP, NIGERIA IS THE RICHEST COUNTRY. MAY GOD HEAL THE LAND

  10. MMM ponzi scheme was thriving and people were ‘making money’ until one day when its mysterious owners shocked ‘investors’. Omegapro is thriving and people now ‘make money’ like 300% returns even when d cryptocurrency it claims to be investing in, has lost much value.
This site has offered clear and credible warnings but manually still prefer to ‘invest’ and regret later!

  11. Waoh, thanks for this important information passed across. My friend in turkey told me about it, said one of his friends is into it but his own spirit doesn’t go with any online stuff

  12. Thanks for this

    I know something was wrong

By the way, don’t invest into crypto or FX, trade by yourself..it is safe that way

    Thanks

  13. A colleague resigned his bank job as a core staff and took this as full time work.

He has been asking us to join. But why I am reluctant is what they invest on to get 300% profit. Not even 20%. Even treasury bills and money markets are not more than 11% now.

One need to invest wisely because the higher the risk, the higher the returns.

As a financial expert in a first generation bank, I think this write up is accurate.

Even if you want to invest, invest what you can afford to loose incase it comes crashing.

  14. This is my first time of reading your comments and I must say it’s an eye opener and please keep us with the work. Which online investment company is really that one can I best and see any red flag

  15. Here in a resort in punta cana…tons of people from peru attending these seminars. I am guessing they were offered the trip to this resort at a discounted price and their attendance is mandatory.

I dont trust it one bit though because every seminar sounds like a motivational speech, always overdone too, and the product they sell seems too good to be true and too conplicated for you to study the risks so they will just use the big financial words and ler you presume everything about forex and crypto.

  16. Making 300% – 1000% annually on trading crypto or FX is very feasible and possible. I should know because I trade. But the question is, are they really trading or just robbing Peter to pay Paul?

All your cautions are on point. I personally always feel there’s something wrong about Omegapro but the decision is still with yours to make…

  17. What governnent is doing when ponzy scheme wade into nigeria and the government allow them to operate, i thought government should take a step stop all these fake sites not to carry away with people money, all these are the work of government, as you are saying now do you know not all People see what you are posting here about omegapro. Note you that belgian government has stop them not to operate there.

  18. Well seems what you said about Omegapro is true, now they are gone but it’s member are not seeing through the deciet yet, but in few days or weeks time the news will be all over

  19. I am certainly not interested in investing there, my question is this 1. Those other companies that has the same address with OMP, are they also fake? Do your research well please. 2. Evidence of failed crypto does not mean the person has not learnt from his past failures, it is even sometimes better that he had failed in the past to substain this.
    3. Have you been there personally to confirm that they are having a virtual office? Please try to be there, okay?

    1. This write up is a cumulative case, it is not just one piece of evidence, but all taken together that makes it that Omega Pro is highly likely to be a scam. The warnings from regulators are a slam dunk, ignore it at your own peril.

  20. ha! ha! ha! ho! ho! ho! I laugh and laugh! when will my people learn? I hope the likes of Ugo Rich were able to cash out before the crash! there is no again NO investment globally that can sustainably pay out 300% in 18 months as the likes of these ponzi schemes promise. The format is the same over and over again: gain the interest of a few, pay out super interest rates to a few, send them out to recruit with promises of bumper pay, flash cash around (through destination retreats) do a final cash pull (as we have seen done in the last few months) and switch off the plug. The sad thing is while my people are believing that the site was ‘hacked’ they are taking opportunity to clear out funds and erase trails. Another one bites the dust!
