Sunpower claims on its website that it is:
a globally innovative photovoltaic enterprise, has a vertically integrated production capacity, providing solar products, solutions and technical services to commercial and civil customers for ground power plants in more than 160 countries and regions such as the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Chile, South Africa, India, Brazil and other countries and regions.
After more than ten years of steady global expansion, with continuous research and development innovation, reliable product quality and excellent customer service, the company has ranked first in global photovoltaic module sales for 4 consecutive years. SunPower has achieved fruitful results in terms of global strategic layout, intelligent manufacturing, technological innovation, etc., and has always maintained a global leading position and become an industry benchmark.
These are bold claims and the point at which we will begin our investigation. For all its talk about being a company with a global reach, SunPower’s website is a single page bereft of information. No company address is listed on the website, nor is there any address for the 160 countries in which SunPower operates. Also, there is no information about its owners or operating officers. This is significant because scam websites often have scanty information, no address and no information about its owners and principal officers.
Listed on the New York Stock Exchange?
Scrolling down on the SunPower website, we find a timeline for the history of SunPower. It claims, “In 2010, the company was successfully listed on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming the shortest photovoltaic company from production to listing.“
In 2019, it ranked first in global module shipments for four consecutive years ,arb In 2016, the company became the world’s largest component manufacturer.
The cumulative shipment volume in 2020 exceeded 70GW, ranking first in the world.
A visit to the website of the New York stock exchange shows records of a company called SunPower. Scrolling down to the section historic prices, we discover the oldest listing is for the year 2005.
We also found a News article from 2005 that says SunPower made an initial public offer in 2005. What this means is that SunPower was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2005. Also, the website has no audited financials showing that it became active on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010. From this we can conclude that the claims on the website are bogus, the whole timeline is false.
Why CAC Business Name Registration?
Further scrolling down the website, we find a business name registration certificate from the CAC.
Why would a globally recognized company with branches in 160 countries around the world opt for a business name registration instead of an incorporation? To put this question in perspective, consider that with a business name registration there is little or no difference between the business owner and the business, as the owner has unlimited liability. Furthermore, shares cannot be used as collateral for loans or in exchange for equity investments. Obviously, such a registration does not fit the bill of a large company. Hence, this is another red flag that something sinister is at play.
Securities and Exchange Commission Regulated?
The extant law of the land requires that any entity soliciting investments from the Public must be duly registered and its scheme authorized by the Securities and Exchange Commission. A search on the SEC database returns no results for SunPower meaning that it is an unregistered entity, and its scheme is unauthorized.
Why the emphasis on recruiting?
On the SunPower website, there is a link to their app on google play store.
After installing the app and registering, the first message we see is this:
Notice the psychological cues in the message, “Invitation rules” and “reward for inviting a friend.” No effort is made to point to the company or its products, the emphasis is immediately on how much you stand to make by inviting others. This emphasis on recruiting is also seen when you click on the “tutorials” button in the app. The app loads an image file with the title “How to make money”
Scrolling down, in section 3, we find that there is an income for doing invitation tasks.
Such a set up in which someone can make a million naira just from inviting people, without having to buy anything, is undoubtable geared towards getting participants to recruit others onto the platform. This has all the features of a pyramid scheme. Another pointer to this is that you get paid when someone you invite makes a “purchase” and when the person you invite invites someone else.
Equipments that give huge profits?
As seen from the screenshot above, when someone you invited “purchases” an equipment, you get 5% of the equipment price as a reward, and another 5% of the equipment revenue. The question is how does the equipment make revenue? To find an answer to this we went to the purchase hall to view the equipments for sale, the lowest priced is the Cheetah HC 68M.
Clicking on the “details” button brings up the purchase agreement
Notice in the purchase agreement that it is nowhere stated that the products are physical, all that is said is that “SunPower will provide stable income according to the promised income of the products purchased by users.” Again, the question is how are they doing this? What exactly are you buying with =N= 8,000? A 50watt 12v solar panel costs above =N= 20,000 and a cheap battery 12v battery cost above =N= 30,000. Also, how is their “solar product” able to generate =N= 11.5 per hour? That translates to =N= 276 per day and =N= 8,280 per month. That is 103.5% profit! They give no detailed description of the product, of how it is being used (since it is not in the possession of the customer), or how its use is able to generate such huge profits. The most reasonable conclusion is that these omissions are deliberate, as most fraudulent schemes dwell on secrecy, convoluted explanations, and disinformation.
Putting it all together, SunPower’s website states false information and pretends to be another legitimate company, has no information about owners and principal officers, has no corporate address, is not incorporated, has a vague business model, and claims to be an investment platform but does not have any approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The presence of high profits and a pyramid structure shows that this is a fraudulent pyramid scheme. We advise that you do not put your money in this as it is sure to crash.

There Telegram Channel was created on March 22, 2022, while their domain sunsolar.one was registered on April 20, 2022. Hence, the earliest we can date this scheme is march this year.

I borrowed huge amounts of money to invest in sunpower and have over 1 million in the wallet already to be cash out the second day but on getting to the app it was another story. I initiated withdrawal but never dropped. Until now they finally deleted everything.

They release annual audited financials, so we know how the company is performing. Where is proof that sunsolar has registered with SEC? Where are their audited financial reports?
You speak about a good intentioned business, a business that does not obey the provisions of the law is not good intentioned. Also, talking about secret formulas is quite common with investment scams as the fraudsters want to evade scrutiny, so they hide behind business secrets that cannot be divulged.
In conclusion, don’t say you invested money in sunsolar, say you put money and are looking to make it back through the sweat of others.

The writer should also understand that sunsolar might as well be a branch in Nigeria shielding themselves from heavy taxes. I had to refund. I was able to withdraw a total of #146k, I want to withdraw 30k 2 days ago, could not , now the money has been wiped out from the wallet.
It’s a scam. The fake company is just robbing Peter to pay Paul because they don’t have a any line of business they are doing with people’s money.

I invested in one Antusdt last year and we were all thinking it will stay till the next year. Their platform was well organized but boom 1st week of October my friends and I lost over 800k. I am also a victim. I paid 90k at first ant didn’t reflected in my wallet. Somebody still encouraged m to put in another 30k so that I would be making money before they they refund my 90 k. I paid on 5/9/22 and 8/9/22.Up till now they have not recharged my account. It is true that there is a foul play in Sunpower. What they do is to rub Peter to pay Paul. Am in for it already. People should be very careful.
A well planned scam. It will not even get to the expiry date of the domain before they pack off. All pyramid and punzi schemes will pay for the first few month untill they get fat well enough to abscond.
They are claiming another company’s name “SUNPOWER” which is located in US. No link whatsoever between sunsolar and SunPower. Sunsolar is impersonating SUNPOWER US. all the claims they are attributing to themselves are for SUNPOWER US.
I heard they even want to organize a conference next week or so. Im sure they will abscond before the scheduled day.

I am just being perplexed on what to say, wouldn’t say d scheme is registered in Nigeria also. Perhaps, d interest level being commented by d writer isn’t outrageous either becuz every user is charged 20% on withdrawal. I never knew this is how is going to be in the first place. A friend of mine introduced me to it easily last month of August 2022. I started with 10,000 the following week I bought another equipment of 30,000. I also introduced my wife into it, she also invested the same amount into it. I also invest for my son too, which is 10,000 equipment.
My and wife, we have bees enjoying the willdrawer return every week, until last two to three when katakata burst, the last one I try to willdraw for my my wife, 12,000 hang. That is when my mind was telling, something want to happen. After 1 week I wanted to withdraw but it hang after 2 days they reverse the money back into my sun sunpower account and they sent an inbox that they are sorry for the withdrawal delay that it from Nigeria banks and they have sue them to court and they said the court order them to fix the withdrawal and deposit issues within the period of one week which they said will commence from October 1 2022 and they also said the bank are complaining that they are using the app to transfer fund illegally they decided if you want to withdraw you to deposit before you can withdraw I initiated the withdrawal and they ask me to pay the sum of 3000 which I did the money didn’t reflect and I was unable to withdraw the next thing the app crash and it no long open again and some are telling us here they all not scam the only question I want to ask when did withdraw last? Screen shot and send it when last did app open?
